Inception (2010)

Inception (Two-Disc Edition) [Blu-ray]Inception is a psychological action movie about a thief, Dom Cobb, who possesses the power to enter into the dreams of others. He doesn't steal things, he steals ideas and secrets from within the subconscious during the dream state. This rare ability has made him the most skilled player in corporate espionage, but it has also made him an international fugitive costing him his family and his life. He is offered one last big job that we give him redemption, but it won't be an easy one. He has to plant an idea in someone's head instead of steal one. Him and his team will have to carefully plan all of the details, but they were not ready for the one person who can ruin it all, Cobb's wife.

This is one of those movies that you really have to sit, undisturbed, and pay attention to every last detail that is going on. Cobb and his team not only go into a dream, they go down three levels of dream states to plant this idea. You really have to watch carefully and pay attention so that you know where they are and what is going on. It's not an easy movie to follow, but it's not meant to be, it's definitely a thinker! The end of the movie leaves you with your own ideas of how it actually ends, which I like, but at the same time makes me mad that I don't really know! Leonardo DiCaprio once again stars in an excellent movie, I swear I don't think he has ever played in a bad movie!

Out of a possible five stars, I rate this movie:

Case 39 (2010)

Case 39Case 39 is about a social worker that rescues a 10-year-old girl from her parents after allegations of abuse that suggest the girl is not safe in her own home. After bringing her home, she discovers that the child is not as innocent as she appears. When all of her closest family and friends turn up dead mysteriously, she turns to the girls parents for help.

The movie stars Renee Zellweger, who hasn't been in a movie in a while, and introduces Jodelle Ferland (she plays the little girl) who plays the role scarily good. The girl turns out to be the devil which is ironic since she appears to be these sweet little innocent girl. The movie was interesting and had enough suspense to keep you going. There were definitely a few times during the movie that made me jump a bit, it definitely beats all the blood and guts movies. It was a good psychological thriller.

Possession (2009)

PossessionPossession is about a woman whose husband gets into a horrific car accident with his brother (they weren't in the car together, but they head on collide) putting them both into comas. The brother-in-law awakes thinking he is is brother.

Now the movie starts fairly interestingly, after the brother-in-law wakes up thinking he is his brother, knowing information only his brother would know, you really start to believe that in some strange way they somehow switched bodies and he is the husband. And the woman, Sarah Michelle Gellar, starts to believe it too. The smallest detail, that you don't really catch, makes the woman think that it really is the brother-in-law and he is just pretending to be his brother. Then the movie kind of goes ends in a weird place and I was kind of disappointed in the ending. It started out so good and I had such good hopes. Well, what are you going to do, right?
